my 755 did not come with a top link and was wondering if anyone with a 55 series tractor could give me the lenght of the original toplink. i dont think just any cat 1 top link will work. thanks in advance for any help.

When you say "top link" do you mean item # 12 in the link below. If so, that is a turn buckle and they sell for $74.98 at your Deere dealer. Some dealers will give a 10% to 15% discount on parts. ....

At least it looks like you get the entire turn buckle and not just the turn buckle threaded barrel by the part description, but I would ask to verify and be sure. ....

i really dont want to spend the big bucks on a factory top link. and i belive you have to piece part the one from JD. i really just need the approx length of the original one is. ....

You can probably find a category 1 3 pt. hitch top link turn buckle assembly at Tractor Supply Center. How much cheaper it will be than the OEM Deere turn buckle is anyone's guess. ....

The one for the 955 is no different than a standard top link. I have one here and another 2 from the local tractor supply. The last one I bought is $13. ....

I appreciate the prices and locations on where to get a top link. i have found cat 1 top links from 13" to approx 24" long closed up (eyelets run all the way in). so if i could get a approx mesurment of a top link that is on a 55 series tractor that would be greatly appreciated. if i dont matter what the length is then ill just get anyone. thanks for your help. ....
